Bo Larsen, third part: berlin – Paintings 2018/2019
In cooperation with the asset management Hansen & Heinrich we show the latest works of the German-Danish painter Bo Larsen in the historic residence Villa Meyer.
The artist‘s passion for painting at a young age became his profession and his great role models include the painters Gerhard Richter and Jackson Pollock.
While painting, Bo Larsen focuses on the experimental painting techniques, which he constantly improves and refines in his self-studies. His multifaceted colour and form design opens up new dimensions for the interpretation of abstract forms.
In his new works, he deals with the diversity and the special attitude to life of the German capital. He also addresses the space in which the exhibition takes place: the former residence of the banker Max Hermann Meyer.
The architecture and varied history of this fairytale-style house, which also features scenes from various Edgar Wallace films, merge into a nostalgic yet contemporary look of abstract contemporary art in a historic setting.
Bo Larsen lives and works in Berlin.
