Anna Tunikova
Born in Saint Petersburg in 1994, the graphic designer and painter Anna Tunikova went to school in Schleswig-Holstein and has a degree in communication design. The artist comes from a family creative background. She first experimented in airbrushing with bright colours and painted figurative pictures. Anna soon realised, however, that these pictures did not express what she herself felt at the time: contrary to the flood of impressions we are exposed to every day anyway, she longed for calm and simplicity.
The Russian-born artist is following the war in Ukraine with dismay and great concern and, like many other Russian cultural workers, is committed to showing solidarity and helping the people in Ukraine. Tunikova is currently working on an oil painting in the darkened Ukrainian colours of yellow and blue, 100% of the proceeds of which will go to Ukrainian refugees. (Price: € 4,400)
Anna Tunikova lives and works in Berlin.
